ICE at Your Door Card
Your rights if immigration agents come to your door.
What To Do
Stay calm and keep the door closed.
Ask agents to slide any warrant under the door.
Look for a judge's signature and a court name on it.
Don't open the door, sign anything, or answer questions without a lawyer.
If it's safe, note badge numbers and what happens.
Your Rights
You don't have to open the door for an administrative (ICE) warrant.
Only a judicial warrant signed by a judge authorizes entry.
Everyone has the right to remain silent, regardless of status.
You have the right to speak to a lawyer.
You Can Say
"I do not consent to your entry."
"Please slide the warrant under the door."
"I want to speak to a lawyer. I do not wish to answer questions."
Based on: 4th Amendment (home entry) · 5th Amendment (silence)
Educational only — not legal advice.
